Though slow, Nike’s current releases have been energetic to say the least — relying on standouts from the Jordan Brand lineage as well as a few statement Dunks that were made to honor today’s 4/20 celebrations. Alongside, the brand has also picked up a newfound penchant for tearaway uppers, one wholly separated from their own works with family member Edison Chen. Seen on a variety of models, including the Air Max 98 twice, the design motif is back on the Air Force 1 though this time as women’s exclusive. Replete with question marks on the insole and various scissor icons, the uppers are marked relatively subtly, with much of the presentation a deceptively understated white shade. Once the outer layer is peeled back, however, one finds vibrant blues on the toe box, reds on the heel tab and toe cap, bright yellows on the side, and some dark purples to finish it off at the heel wrap. The Swoosh and eyestay prefer dark textured blacks while the branding close by stands in a volt. Grab an official look at these here and expect a release at Nike.com later this Spring.
