The Nike Blazer Sees Swooshes In “Pink Foam”

The Nike Blazer Sees Swooshes In “Pink Foam”

The Nike Blazer has cemented itself as a lifestyle staple over the past three decades. Yet, both the Blazer Mid ’77 and Blazer Low are scheduled to arrive sometime this year with a detail they haven’t donned (at least as of recent): “Pink Foam” Swooshes.

While the aforementioned hue appeared on the Blazer in 2019, it took over the silhouette’s canvas upper. By contrast, the forthcoming duo is almost entirely clad in a “White/Sail” arrangement reminiscent of pairs from the ’70s and ’80s. Furthermore, both the Mid ’77 and Low are constructed with supple leather, though the former also features suede overlays at the toe and lateral forefoot for reinforcement. Tongues, unlike on reinterpretations by sacai, forgo any exposed foam. Profile Swooshes and “NIKE” text at the heel indulge in “Pink Foam,” while sole units boast a semi-yellow finish for vintage effect. Herringbone outsoles on the Blazer Low, however, deviate from their taller counterparts’ with a gum brown makeup.

A release date for either Blazer is still unknown, but both are likely to arrive quietly to Nike.com during the summer. In the meantime, enjoy a closer look at the Blazer Mid ’77 and Blazer Low ahead.

For more rose-colored takes from The Swoosh, the Kobe 6 Think Pink is rumored to retro in early 2021.
