Michael Le With the Superstar‘s birthday slowly coming to a close, adidas is bringing more and more retro silhouettes into the mix, providing updates to the now revived A-ZX series while expanding on the SEEULATER OG which returned to the spotlight not too long ago.
Its collaborative variants opened doors more recently with neutral variety, and now — through a series of inline releases — the silhouette is applying bits and pieces of vibrant color, pushing its aesthetic away from techwear and into the retro mountaineering space to which it more appropriately belongs. Lightly faded olives dress the toe cap, heel, and elastic ankle with muddy earth tones, setting a neutral base in tandem with the blacked out tooling. Vibrant yellows then accent the side profile in robust leather, placed atop a piecemeal under layer that delivers half blue and half berry shades. Elsewhere, the latter is further implemented, its tone used as a backdrop for the lateral adidas embroidery.
