Jovani Hernandez Throughout 2020, the adidas Superstar‘s 50th Anniversary has consisted of a healthy mix of simple and extravagant releases. The latter adds another notch to its roster on August 21st with the help of Austrian glass-producer Swarovski.
Unlike a previously-seen iteration, the forthcoming pair heavily deviates from the shell-toe’s original design. For starters, it features a platform sole as denoted by its Bold marker. Secondly, the fashion-forward Superstar predominantly indulges in a “Cloud White” color scheme; profile 3-Stripes boast “Core Black” contrast, but in fragmented fashion. Spaced-out crystals also embellish the heel overlay, but make their loudest statement across the laces. Larger “Silver Metallic” jewels adorn the laces, sitting just above non-standard shimmering lace dubraes; these crystals can be removed from the sneakers and worn on a bracelet.
