Mountain Research’s debut with Reebok has brought to life a number of collaborative silhouettes, some commemorative of the label’s roots as General Research years back. For Fall/Winter ’20, the Japanese institution is instead choosing to lean more on simplicity as they liken the Classic Leather to saddle shoes, golf shoes, uniform shoes, and other opposing styles.
Executed primarily through colorway, this connection is more an experiment to satisfy Setsumasa Kobayashi’s interests, the designer humored by the two-toned blocking’s lack of connection to the model’s original DNA. But at its core, the construction is mostly left as is as the silhouette bears its usual leather fabrication from toe cap to heel counter. These elements’ tones, though still primarily left a bright white, simply section off its top block through the use of black branding, paneling, laces, and tongues.
Grab a detailed look at these right here an expect a release to arrive overseas later this season. It’s currently uncertain if these will make their way stateside at Reebok.com.
In other news, the Fragment Jordan Air Cadence just appeared on official images.
