Elliot Santiago Now that Labor Day weekend has passed, we know that the final days of Summer are here, and we’ll be soon setting into Fall/Winter where protective footwear will be key. Thankfully, Nike is already steps ahead and gradually rolling out looks at their forthcoming seasonal footwear styles; one being this brand new Air Force 1 GORE-TEX colorway.
Minimal in design, this Swoosh offering opts for an outfit that is solely reliant on dark, neutral tones. The weatherproof upper half is mostly blacked out, but deviates in materials between leather overlays and synthetic toe boxes/quarter paneling. Similar to pass GORE-TEX AF1s, the shield-like material’s moniker is embroidered onto the lateral heels. Sandwiched in between, the midsole is coated with an “Anthracite” skin, while the treading matches up in sync with the base.
