Capitalizing on the resurgence of the Dunk, Nike has tapped a handful of retailers from around the world to reimagine the classic hoops silhouette in their own unique ways. In terms of the streetwear shops based in the United States, Notre and Bodega have been included into the mix, the latter being the latest entity to tease its forthcoming collaboration.
Pictured here is a sample of the Nike Dunk High project, and right away you’ll notice that the Boston-based imprint has went out on a limb here in terms of its design execution. The Swooshes which host a marbled pattern done up in espresso colors arrive in jeweled form, and heaps of exposed stitches are visible in areas such as the heels, lateral/medial sides, as well as atop the ankle collars which almost channel the aesthetic of the seams on a baseball (potential nod to their hometown Boston Red Sox?). On top of that, the uppers, which are primarily hued in “Sail”, feature tonal, intricate embroidery across its overlays, hairy suede quarter panels, and the retailer’s moniker embossed on the interior side wall. Below, the shoe rounds out with “Birch” colored treading. Stay tuned for further word on this release likely on Nike.com and through select retailers in the coming months for $120 USD.
For other footwear news, the Nike Overbreak SP has just been unveiled in an earthy tan colorway.
