Before assuming its original design with frequency in 2021, the Air Jordan 1 Low is outfitting its retro shape with an eye-catching “University Gold.”
Unlike recent iterations of the low-top Jordan 1, the forthcoming pair covers the base and its overlays alike in the aforementioned rich yellow hue. Toe boxes blend in with their surroundings, but their tumbled construction delivers some contrast to the tonal area. Profile swooshes and collar panels follow suit, but indulge in stark “Black” contrast; the dark tone also takes over the nylon tongue, laces and Wings insignia on the heel. Underfoot, the retro forgoes the scheme found on one half of 2007’s “Old Love/New Love” pack in favor of an unassuming “White” midsole, “Black” outsole combination.
An official Nike.com release date is unknown, but expect this Jordan 1 Low to arrive soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
For confirmed Jordan release dates, the Jordan 4 “Fire Red” returns on November 28th.
