Nike Unite Reveals New Retail Concept In The Social-Distancing Age

NIKE, Inc. has recently unveiled Nike Unite, a new retail concept rooted in community for the age of social-distancing.

Currently, five locations across the US, UK and South Korea are Nike Unite stores, with four more arriving to the US and China soon. These retail spaces feature fitting rooms with local maps detailing how customers can explore their surroundings; contactless checkout options that enable visitors to explore the space at their own pace; in-store displays (“community walls”) near the entrance that highlight local partnerships encouraging sports; and a number of sustainable offerings like reusable shopping bags and the Nike Reuse-a-Shoe program.

But the Nike Unite concept isn’t confined to the walls of each facility. Digital programs allow athletes of all levels to indulge in the community aspect of sport, while Made to Play and Nike Community Ambassador offerings enable participants to not only get closer to sport, but also to one another.
