BAIT Japan To Exclusively Release A Nike Air Force 1 Inspired By Mecha Model Kits

As animation further improved in the East, so, too, did creativity. From comedy staples like Crayon Shin-Chan to cult classics like Akira, Japan has no shortage of notable media. But, out of the many to come and go, Gundam is among the few to make an everlasting impression on both this generation and the last, many fans proud owners of dozens or maybe hundreds of personally built and customized models. Even BAIT Japan are proving themselves to be quite the addicts as they’re bringing the same “Model Kit” concept to the Nike Air Force 1.

Created in honor of Tokyo Comic Con, the offering mirrors the aforementioned figures through what is effectively a DIY recreation. Every one of the silhouette’s usual constructions are made removable by way of velcro, allowing one to intentionally misplace certain pieces or put them together as usual. But even when opting for the latter, the panels don’t lie completely flush to their sections, setting the pair much further apart from GRs even despite the simple white and orange-accented colorway.

Grab a detailed look at these right here, and if you happened to be in Japan on December 6th, stop by Comic Con to grab a set for yourself.

In other news, Nike SB has a Dunk High Obsidian in the works.
