Jasmine Tang With the hype that surrounded releases such as the Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha” and the revival of the Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red”, the bar has been raised for the rest of the Air Jordan catalog. Kicking off December is the women’s exclusive Air Jordan 8 “Beetroot”, a colorway very similar to that of the Air Jordan 4 “PSG”.
The pair joins the Air Jordan 8 “Valentine’s Day” as another AJ8 women’s exclusive to cater to the Jumpman’s growing female fanbase. The “Beetroot” color treatment features white leathers and gray suedes that are accented by black and “Beetroot” elements such as the signature chenille patch on the tongue. This namesake burgundy shade has been seen on another recent women’s Jordan release—the jewelry-clad Air Jordan 1 Mid “Maroon”. As maroon continues to be a trending color in the colder seasons, expect to see more of the dark red hue on upcoming Jordan releases.
