The full scope of NIKE, Inc.’s plans for 2021 has yet to play out, but it’s evident the North American brand is drawing inspiration from all places. Case in point: an upcoming “Pomegranate” collection that includes the Nike Air Force 1 Low and other beloved Nike Sportswear silhouettes.
As with a previously-seen Blazer Mid, the forthcoming take on Bruce Kilgore’s 1982 design features a predominantly “Black” color scheme. Profile swooshes and overlays at the heel, however, interrupt the tonal arrangement with their “Solar Flare” tone and canvas construction. The low-top proposition forgoes embroidery of the capsule’s namesake fruit, but boasts text nodding to the seed-laden muse. Laces and midsoles on the Air Force 1 deliver further contrast in their “White” stylings, but outsoles revert to the understated via a textured, ostensibly recycled makeup.
Enjoy a first look at the upcoming pair here below, and expect a Nike.com to occur in the first half of 2021.
