Although NIKE, Inc. is well-occupied with dozens of retro endeavors, the North American conglomerate is constantly pushing the boundaries of performance sportswear. Among its endeavors, the company has landed on the Air Jordan 35, which has introduced an updated iteration of the Eclipse plate tooling. For its latest ensemble, the basketball-ready proposition has dressed up in a familiar “Black/University Red” color scheme accompanied by bright yellow accents and wear-away upper for Chinese New Year 2021.
Not too dissimilar from one of the model’s launch colorways, the forthcoming pair features a mixed-materials upper clad predominantly in “Black.” Jordan 5-inspired heel and ankle areas indulge in stark scarlet contrast, but are arguably overshadowed by the seemingly-out-of-place golden yellow detailing along the profiles and throughout the tongue. As part of the Swoosh’s ode to the firecracker’s explosiveness, the latest Air Jordan option dons wear-away material across the upper. Underneath the performance-oriented makeup, the pair revels in multi-colored, eye-catching patterns perfect for the Lunar New Year.
Enjoy official images of the festive Jordan 35 here below, and expect pairs to hit Nike SNKRS on January 14th.
