Angel Chen Adds A Prehistoric Aesthetic To The SL7600 And Superstar

Chinese designer Angel Chen, contestant of Netflix’s Next in Fashion, has long-fostered an adidas partnership. Though quite a while since her last capsule, the young talent is finally ready to offer a trio of new offerings, each accented at their tooling with decorative teeth.

Among the collection — which also spans numerous apparel standouts — the Superstar appears twice, colored in either a black or floral pink palette. At the upper, both are foundationally built of suede and then overlaid at the Three Stripes, eye stays, and heel tab with a more robust leather material. Below, the silhouette’s usual tooling is transformed with the aforementioned motif, its sides plastered with huge dentures. The accompanying SL 7600 follows a similar execution, though the teeth are less pronounced as they’re placed solely atop the BOOST heel in an icy blue finish. Ripple soles call the most attention, their greys laid in parallel to an upper layered with red suedes, blue knits, and white textiles.
