ASICS Dresses Up The GEL-Lyte III Entirely In Corduroy

Towards the tail end of the runner craze, the ASICS GEL-Lyte III slowly fell out of relevance due most in part to its wilder transformations. But since its return last year, the silhouette has proven to be quite strategic, relying primarily on OG schemes and colorways well within the realm of universality. In the case of this recently released pair, the latter couldn’t ring any more true, as it adopts striking corduroy fabrics and a palette tinged fully in “Oyster Grey.”

Texture is the star of the show here, its usage impossible to ignore. Across the toe cap, toe box, profile, and even the split tongue, wide wale cords outfit in different orientations, creating an interesting and varied look that undoubtedly takes advantage of the once heavily prevalent material. And while the tiger stripe logos blend into the same execution, the heel tab departs entirely, bearing a very subtle hit of faux fur.

Grab a detailed look at these right here and find them available right now on ASICS.com. Though they are a women’s release, guys can easily size up by 1.5 for the right fit.

In other news, the Halo Grey Ultraboost 21 is on the way.
