Among the New Balance Tokyo Design Studio’s recent creations, the Niobium Concept 1 was the quickest to receive general release follow-ups. But after its Triple Black and Yellow-tinted schemes, little released afterwards. However, now that 2021 has finally started, it’s evident that the brand was just waiting to ring in the new year with a neutral grey colorway.

Like the options before it, the pair delivers the very same utility-driven, three-way design. Whether worn as an indoor slipper, a mule, or a trail-ready boot, the pair is versatile, dyed almost entirely in a the focal grey shade. Synthetic uppers and rigid toolings make it perfect for outdoor activities, though the light coloring will certainly display wear much more easily than some of the aforementioned.

If you have some hikes planned in the near future, you can grab a pair of these at select retailers on January 15th.

In other news, Jaden Smith’s White/Pink Vision Racer will also be arriving this month.
