Patta x New Balance 991 Releasing In January

Towards the latter half of 2020, Patta began teaming with an extensive roster of brands. With names the likes of Reebok and Vans, the Amsterdam-based imprint offered up Pan-African Club Cs, script-heavy classics, and some standout runners. And now, for the very first month of the new year, we’re already set to see a collaborative New Balance 991, one hued in a Spring-appropriate palette.

In terms of construction, the upper exhibits NB’s usual penchant for premium quality. Suedes wrap throughout in visually evident luxury, colored with a muted pink shade that directly contrasts the earth tones used on previously released collaborations. Underneath, the foundation builds of a grey mesh, and when paired with the matching laces and tongues, the offering reminds of the Boston footwear label’s most signature color scheme. Reflective Ns do well to continue such a connection, while the embroidered “Patta” text and natural trims do their best to set it apart.
