The adidas ZX5000 Torsion Returns With Nylon Exteriors

The adidas ZX5000 Torsion Returns With Nylon Exteriors

adidas’s A-ZX series has been an innovative strategy to celebrate the ZX’s legacy, while also challenging their own creativity to devise 26 new designs that correspond to the alphabet. For the letter T, the brand is embracing its Torsion System innovation with a ZX5000 fully-clad in “Bright Yellow”.

The Bright Yellow shade that nearly covers the entirety of the silhouette derives from the hues used on the original Torsion bar. Besides the color, the model itself incorporates the aforementioned cushioning system, which uses a special material to deliver much flexibility to the wearer. Meanwhile, nylon uppers, side stripes, and heel counter stay true to the ZX5000’s ’80s look. Underfoot, the Bright Yellow Torsion bar interrupts the black rubber outsole, along with a spot of Bright Cyan that is also reminiscent of the bar’s signature colors.

The pair will drop on January 21st on adidas’s Australia site for $170 USD; a release date for the U.S.’s adidas.com has yet to be announced.

And for another throwback release, the Three Stripes is bringing back the T-MAC 2 in February.
