Michael Le As of this past month, Nike SB has started to pay more attention to the Blazer Mid — more specifically, its eccentric “Edge” variant. But now, to help ring in the upcoming Spring season, the brand will be bringing back the classic shape in a loud “University Gold” colorway.
Far more straightforward than its Frankenstein’d counterpart, the offering follows the typical suede and leather construction. The latter is used primarily atop the Swoosh and matching heel tab, while the former outfits throughout atop the profile, eye stays, and toe. Slightly padded nylon tongues build within, coated in a “Sail” shade similar to vintage pairs. Then, below along the midsole, the textured finish ends in a white like many of the smaller fixtures above.
