The Air Jordan 1 Low “Chinese New Year” Is Limited To 8500 Pairs

This year, the entire Nike umbrella has joined hands in celebrating the Year of the Ox. Alongside a set of Chuck 70s and even a loud, firecracker-inspired Dunk, the Air Jordan 1 Low is entering the mix, sporting an overt Chinese New Year inspired design that’s limited to only 8500 pairs.

Arguably the Jumpman’s best showing, the AJ1 reveals all its cards from the get-go. Red and black wraps the unders and overlays, respectively, in a fashion that reminds of the beloved and historic “Bred” colorway. Overlaid atop, a number of traditional motifs begin to take shape, with florals and Ox designs outlined in gold thread like the Wings that dress the heel tab behind. What’s more, in tandem with the special, commemorative box, the ankle is accessorized with a thick, red rope that ends along the profile with gilded tassels.

Grab a detailed look at these right here, and if you’re looking to pick up a pair, they’re reportedly arriving next week on January 31st.

If you’re looking to grab something a bit sooner, the Air Jordan 5 Low Chinese New Year drops tomorrow.
