Jasmine Tang While not much talk surrounded the Air Max 97 last year since it had already celebrated its 30th anniversary back in 2017, impressive colorways have still been arriving onto the model. Thanks to its water ripple-inspired design lines, it offers plenty of room to get creative with colors. For a new GS pair, a vibrant pink and blue only partially fill in these overlays to create a stylish juxtaposition against a much darker base.
The pair starts off with a black mesh base complemented by a Smoke Grey mudguard for a greyscale makeup. Sunset Pulse and Sapphire, the pink and blue shades respectively, color two design lines directly above the mudguard. These bright shades are also applied to the Swooshes on the midfoot and tongue, as well as the Air Max heel pull tab and insoles for additional pops of color. Similar to other releases, reflective materials are used on the remaining wavy overlays. A white midsole and full-length Air sole finish the design in true AM97 fashion.
