Gunna Brings His Drip Influence To BAPE With Limited Collaboration

Gunna Brings His Drip Influence To BAPE With Limited Collaboration

As A BATHING APE® preps for what’ll surely be a successful year, the Japanese brand heads stateside to Georgia to tap Gunna for a footwear and apparel collection. The iconic BAPE STA™ Low is the focus of the rapper’s capsule, which launches on February 6th.

Clad in black, green and white, the forthcoming pair couples tumbled leather with paneling ostensibly laden with a slime effect. (“Slime” is a term commonly used by Gunna and other Atlanta-based rappers. The term had previously been associated to Harlem’s Vado.) Profile logos boast an eye-catching green tone and the aforementioned detailing, which also takes over the heel overlays. “Slatt” (Slime Love All The Time) is embroidered on the rear. Other details on the “Drip Too Hard” co-star’s BAPE collaboration includes metallic silver lace dubraes, co-branding on the tongue label and an all-white sole unit.

Enjoy a look at Gunna’s first sneaker project here below, and find pairs arriving to retailers on February 6th.
