Tommy Cash Literally Elongates The adidas Superstar For Inaugural Collaboration

The general idea of a sneaker collaboration has changed dramatically in the past few years. With video game IPs and food giants joining the industry, it seems nothing is off the table. And while we’ve surely stretched some creative limits, few have dared to turn sneakers into art in an official capacity, something Tommy Cash is attempting with his upcoming adidas Superstar.

One glance is certainly all you need. The pair in question, though rather unassuming in its Triple White and Triple Black palette, is far from ordinary. Abstract, distorted, and stretched to an extreme degree, the Superstar is pulled from its toe out and elongated as if so easily malleable. This extends the lace unit with it, meaning quite a few feet’s worth of string and leather went into the making of this shoe. The mid-panel casts its long shadow with Three Stripe accents detailing the profile by their lonesome, while the toe and much of the counter retain their usual proportions.

For a look at this eccentric undertaking, see the campaign images below. According to Tommy Cash himself, a raffle is currently live on the adidas App in Russia. Winners for the raffle will be chosen at random on March 3rd.

In other news, the adidas Yeezy 450 is releasing this week as well.
