adidas Y-3 Proposes Their Own Interpretation Of The UltraBoost 21

adidas Y-3 Proposes Their Own Interpretation Of The UltraBoost 21

adidas Y-3 rarely borrows from the brand’s inline silhouettes. But here, for their latest Spring showing, the high fashion sub-label is drawing inspiration from the brand new UltraBoost 21. Revealed in both a black and white colorway, the reimagining doesn’t stray too far from the original design. Rather, it’s simply lensed through certain Y-3 signatures.

The tooling, for example, is kept intact, bearing both the bulbous heel and colorful forward detailing. It’s at the upper where the pair distinguishes itself, as much of the construction is heavily stripped down to suit its peers’ monochromatic minimalism. Off-White and black shades run replete throughout their respective backdrops, matching the laces, lining, and overlays just adjacent. The back heel tab and the tongue’s text branding, in departure, contrasts via the opposite tone, allowing for the usual logo hits to stand out more pronounced.

For a quick look at these leaked samples, see the images added below. It’s unknown whether or not these will make an official release.

In other news, the Air Jordan 1 University Blue releases tomorrow.
