Jasmine Tang adidas was founded in Germany back in 1949 and has since become one of the greatest brand names of all time, garnering fans on an international level. The adidas Ultraboost 20 “City Lights” pack fittingly nods at the metropolis galores the Three Stripes has reached. Besides Shanghai and Tokyo, Seoul is another Asian city to board the worldly collection.
Recycled Primeblue material constructs the Crew Navy mesh. The usual logo on the tongue has been swapped out for an insignia reminiscent of the South Korean flag. Colors and shapes from the flag are used to create a patterned graphic found on the toe and the sides. While a clear view of this print is obstructed by a layer of white mesh that sits atop, the graphic appears more vibrantly when it is used again, under the clear, high-shine heel counter. More patterns are found at the heel of the stacked Boost Foam midsole, which prints “the brand with the 3 stripes” repeatedly in adidas’s native German language and Korean.
The pair is now available for purchase at adidas’s Asian web stores. North American fans will have to hang tight for details regarding a release at adidas.com.
