Michael Le Air Max Day is just around the corner and there’s a lot to look forward to. Not only do we have the return of old favorites like the Air Max 90 Bacon and the CLOT Air Max 1, but we also have new-gen silhouettes like the Air Max Pre-Day making their very first debut.
A sort of bridge between traditional and contemporary design philosophies, the Pre-Day is both familiar and brand new. The upper itself seems to borrow quite a few cues from early 70s runners, the fixture’s look made sleek from the heel through to the toe. But floating eye stays and cosmetic overlays bring the model forward to the current decade, imbuing a language similar to offerings like the Daybreak Type. The sole, in contrast, stands out much more in its aggressive architecture, one that brings attention to the Air Unit through black-polished, brutalist TPU.
Scored with vintage-inspired Nike branding and a bold “Volt” colorway, the Pre-Day is due to arrive later this week on March 26th. For our store list, take a peek below.
