Michael Le Updated March 25th, 2021: As official images are revealed, this Nike LeBron 18 reveals a bevy of details intended to honor the entire legacy of Nike LeBron. The special insoles feature imagery of Nike LeBron signature shoes of the past, while the exterior is marked other key insignia that call back to the nearly two decades of LeBron footwear.
A number of hues come together throughout, but the most notable would have to be the “University Blue” that dresses the Primeknit upper. Threaded together with little contrasted accents, the cool tone sets the foundation against dark green tongues and grey, black-speckled midsoles. Laces further stand out adjacent in their hot pink, a shade that’s also used at the heel in the form of paint splatters. Dark navy and deep reds, then, complement along the heel underneath, while the tread rips the spotlight in its rainbow-like formation of purples, blues, yellows, reds, and oranges. Based on the official nickname, this LeBron 18 release draws in details from the first half of the legacy – namely the Air Zoom Generation through the LeBron 9.
