Michael Le We expect 4/20 homages from Nike SB, but we would have never guessed that adidas would join in on the fun this year as well. Using the ZX 1000 — or the ZX 420 as its referred to here — the Three Stripes is celebrating the quintessential stoner holiday.
The colorway bears quite a strong resemblance to the Skunk Dunks from the Swoosh’s side of the fence. Its upper and colorway are actually near identical, with hairy textures tinted green in nod to kush all the same. White stripes then dress the side in complement to the laces, tongue, and midsole, while bright purples detail just adjacent. Mesh toes and suede eyestays round off the construction, likely referencing the smoke from a blunt, bong, dab rig, or whatever you choose to make use of.
Take a close-up look at these below. Though available at select retailers, it’s likely these will make a wider appearance on 4/20 via adidas.com and other stockists.
