Jasmine Tang Although ASAP Mob started as a hip hop collective in the 2000s, the New York-based rappers have ventured into fashion to much avail. Aside from the successes of ASAP Rocky and ASAP Ferg, ASAP Nast has also had his fair share of impact on fashion. He scored a partnership with Reebok last year, starring in the brand’s “Write Your Legacy” campaign to debut the Reebok Classic Leather Legacy and even releasing his own Reebok Leather Classic. Months later, the ASAP Mob member is following up on the collaboration to deliver his take on the CL Legacy.
The ’70s-style runner has been customized by swapping the usual mesh uppers for brown, denim-like textiles that see diagonal lines throughout. Suede overlays on the toe, heel, and midfoot also adopt the aforementioned shade. Black leather elements found as overlays on the side, the heel tab, and the ASAP Nast-branded piece adjacent to the eyestays add contrast to this mix by deviating in both color and material. To brighten up the palette, lavender elements are applied to the heel and the front, sparingly. The design is complete with a 3D-sculpted, off-white midsole and a grey-brown rubber outsole for a modern touch.
The pair will be drop on April 2nd on Reebok and select retailers.
