Michael Le The adidas ZX8000 has hit the headlines a number of times this past week. But today, it’s doing so in a different way — as an Ultra Boost.
An homage purely in color, this Ultra Boost affectionately nods to years of ZX history with a surprisingly faithful “Aqua” impression. The titular blues take the helm throughout, dyeing the cages and TPU counter as well as the Primeknit elsewhere. Brighter, neon-tinged yellows also arrive adjacent, dressing the lining in full but only part of the side’s Three Stripes. Instead, it shares its space with a bit of purple, the two an obvious, overt reflection of the ZX8000’s profile.

Updated April 29th, 2021: Packer has an early exclusive on May 1st. adidas US will release the shoes on May 7th at 3am ET.
