Jovani Hernandez As Kyrie Irving prepares to potentially embark on a 2020-21 NBA Playoffs run without Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets guard has revealed his Nike Kyrie 7 in a style alluding to the inner-workings of his mind.
Clad in “Pale Ivory/Chlorine Blue/Black,” the forthcoming basketball sneaker features the performance-oriented details that’ve emerged on a handful of Irving’s previous signature shoes. Composite mesh and molded plastic overlays deliver a breathable, lightweight and durable build, while accents on the tongue, across the profiles and around the heel proffer playful flair. Yet, this Kyrie 7‘s most notable detailing appear on the spine, as disparate graphics nod to two sides Irving blends together as part of not only his cerebral, creative on-court game, but also his non-linear approach to life; arithmetic-like “equations” are featured beside seemingly freehand-doodles, and are accompanied by a split-style arrangement also found on the outsole and upper.
