The Air Jordan 1 Centre Court was propelled into the spotlight last year with the airing of ESPN’s “The Last Dance” dock-series. Since then, the tennis shoe-inspired model has emerged in a handful of colorways, with the latest donning a fresh, summer-ready black and pink palette.
Akin to the Air Jordan 1 Low, the lifestyle-focused silhouette maintains a sleek, low-top shape, but features a number of details that separate it from the Michael Jordan’s basketball-oriented signature sneaker line. Soft suede runs the entirety of the tongue and appears at the heel; wings logos introduced on the first Air Jordan appear in embroidered leather fashion around the heel. Unlike its underlay, the detail doesn’t boast a perforated leather makeup, but does feature pink lining. Underfoot, a sole unit transplanted from the original Jordan 1 indulges in a yellowed finish, which pairs with encapsulated Zoom Air-cushioning for a healthy mix of heritage and modern-day design choices.
An official Nike SNKRS release date is unknown, but this Centre Court is likely to launch throughout summer. In the meantime, enjoy images of the shoes here below.
