Though cancelled last year, New York’s famous Summer leagues may actually have a leg to stand on thanks to the vaccine. And to better celebrate the occasion, Nike is ditching the Air Force 1 for a much more captivating Dunk Low “NY vs NY.”
Color-wise, the pair seems to borrow partially from the state flag, incorporating bright orange atop the tongue’s woven label, the heel tab’s embroidery, and the side Swoosh. Below, white neutrals take the lead via the overlays, opting for a premium tumbled leather. The greens adjacent, in contrast, outfit much smoother as they display along the toe, mid-panel, and collar. Nods to the NY vs NY tournament — which pits all of the core boroughs against one another — then round off the design along the counter in overt fashion.
For a closer look, see the imagery below. A release is currently unknown, but it’s likely to hit Nike.com this Summer like previous NY vs NY iterations.
In other news, the Air Max 90 First Use sports a clean “Signal Blue.”
