Though presumed to have met its end with the ZX 0000, adidas’ A-ZX series is soon to proffer a sequel to the inside-out “XZ 0006.” While the original dealt a neutral-rich palette, its follow-up pays homage to the ever-iconic “Aqua” colorway.

Like its predecessor, the morphed ZX 6000 appears ordinary at first glance. Partially inspired by X-Rays, many of the panels are rendered see-through, each — mainly the overlays — allowing one to better examine the fixtures underneath. Adjacent, the bright yellow stripes and forefoot accents are flipped around, pushing their back ends and stitching to the forefront. This taste of deconstruction continues by way of the counter and dubrae, which are eccentric in their exposed foam and off angle, respectively.

In other news, the Yeezy 500 Enflame releases next week.
