Jovani Hernandez Yara Shahidi has gone from showing enthusiasm over Beyoncé’s IVY PARK x adidas first collection to launching her own collaborative capsule with the Three Stripes in just a couple of years. For her first joint-effort with the brand, Shahidi explores her Iranian and African-American heritage through apparel and footwear, the latter including an adidas Superstar.
In between her time as a lead actor and an executive producer on the show “Grown-ish,” the 21-year-old Minneapolis-native has found time to reimagine the iconic adidas Originals model under the ReCreation banner. Worn leather clad in “Cream White” make up the bulk of the shoe’s upper, but “Hazy Yellow” and “Legacy Gold” profile 3-Stripes and heel panels deviate in both color and composition (suede). Furthermore, the “The Sun Is Also A Star” protagonist has employed scalloped tongues and metal lace jewels for her adidas collaboration. Additional branding throughout the sneaker boasts a shimmering golden finish.
