The Los Angeles-held Drew League pro-am basketball tournament was established in 1973, but it’s gained considerable attention over the last decade thanks to notable performances from professionals the likes of James Harden and Kevin Durant. To commemorate its popularity, NIKE, Inc. has produced a number of special Nike Air Force 1 Low styles over the years, with the latest indulging in gradient detailing across the profile swooshes and upper heel panel.
Akin to the model’s most common ensemble, the forthcoming pair boasts a “White” smooth leather throughout most of its upper. The tournament’s name is embroidered on the lateral heel, while tongue labels have their traditional branding replaced with a “D” logo. Lace dubraes on the low-top Air Force 1 also abandon their standard silver makeup in favor of a shimmering “Black” tone that matches the “DrewLeague” found towards the spine. The aforementioned gradient includes shades of red, orange and yellow, and is accompanied by imagery of brick facades, urban basketball court’s chain gate and other graphics commemorating the sport.
Enjoy official images of the Air Force 1 Low ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS release throughout summer.
