Air Jordan 1 Low Crater Appears With Recycled Materials

Air Jordan 1 Low Crater Appears With Recycled Materials

Since the dawn of Space Hippie last year, many a Nike silhouette has taken on the “Crater” name, signaling a turn to sustainable materials. Today, the Air Jordan 1 Low joins the family, arriving right in time for the Summer heat.

While the construction may be brand new, the palette is quite familiar — especially for fans of the “Shadow” and its recent “2.0” update. Throughout the suede overlays, a reminiscent grey shade dresses in near full, wrapping over top a base of recycled mesh. Scraps and loose threads of many a color can be found throughout, pronounced only as a result of its backdrop’s grey coloring. Adjacent, the Swoosh, tread, and sole follow a similar treatment, though their scraps form a much more cohesive Grind-replete mosaic.

For a closer look, check out the official images below. Sizes should hit Nike.com and select retailers soon.

In other news, the sacai Nike Blazer Low is also releasing soon.
