Saudi Arabia’s Arwa Al Banawi Brings Shemagh Detailing To The adidas Forum ’84 Low

Saudi Arabia’s Arwa Al Banawi Brings Shemagh Detailing To The adidas Forum ’84 Low

After months of anticipation, Saudi Arabian designer Arwa Al Banawi is finally unveiling her upcoming adidas Forum ’84 Low in full. Due to release in near exactly a week, the colorway pays homage to the Shemagh, a traditional piece of clothing worn all across the Middle East.

The nods come through a variety of ways — but most notably, they take shape via the counter’s red houndstooth, a pattern near signature with the head scarf itself. Elsewhere, the suede and mesh construction opts for more versatile hues, dyeing both a light sand from heel to toe. Red stitches do contrast along the Stripes, but they’re largely overshadowed by the aforementioned as well as the gilded branding that debosses into the lateral, heel, and tongue.

For a closer look at Arwa Al Banawi’s creation, see the detailed imagery below. A release is currently due to hit select retailers on May 28th.

In other news, an Air Jordan 1 Mid Crater is coming this season.
