Nike Lends The “Persian Violet” Colorway To The Air Max Plus

With 2021 marking the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max BW, the OG “Persian Violet” pair is set to make a return— five years after the style was last retroed. While waiting for a release, images of an upcoming Nike Air Max Plus borrowing the iconic colorway have recently emerged.

This particular pair swaps out the usual neoprene upper for a soft textile base in white. Wavy TPU lines create a caged design, opting for a black to Persian Violet gradient. The faded color combo is also seen on the midsole piece and is further highlighted by white detailing that interrupts the otherwise wholly black midsole. Similar to the Air Max BW, the Tuned Air proposition is complete with black suede overlays above the midsole and a rubber outsole that is split between black and Persian Violet.

Get a closer look at the Air Max Plus below, which will hit Nike.com in the coming months with a price of $160.

In other Swoosh-related news, the Nike Dunk Low Disrupt is heading into the summer with a “Cactus Flower” colorway.
