Thor, Baby Groot, Mike Wazoski, Wall-E Another Other Disney Duos Appear In Upcoming adidas Stan Smith Collection

When adidas announced it was “being green”, the brand didn’t solely mean a transition to the use of recycled materials to produce its footwear. By partnering with Disney, the Three Stripes brought about iconic characters such as Kermit The Frog and Toy Story‘s Rex onto the adidas Stan Smith to demonstrate that being green could actually be quite fun. The playfulness continues with a slew of new arrangements that celebrate several fan-favorite friendships.

Each style within the pack comprises of “it’s not easy being green” spelled out on its heel tabs and a theme centered around two characters often associated with each other. The WALL-E and EVE, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, and Baby Groot and Gamora pairs all opt for a more subdued look by channeling white Primegreen uppers and referencing these characters via simple graphics and symbols at the forefoot. As for the remaining pairs, various colors and textures dress up the upper. The Thor and Hulk-themed offering flaunts a near triple-black look while the Rex and Alien design sees a tonal blue, full-suede build. The Sulley and Mike Wazowski pair takes things even further with bold fuzzy uppers that mimic Sulley’s teal and purple fur. The styles feature special boxes and insoles that honor their respective duos, with the characters’ portraits also added to the tongue label.
