Jasmine Tang Although the 50th anniversary of Nike’s Swoosh logo has ended and was celebrated with the “First Use” pack, Nike still has a slew of symbols to reminisce on. The brand’s new “Logo Pack” references a handful of Air Max logos while assuming a color palette that likens that of an Air Max classic—specifically the Nike Air Max 95 “Neon.” This collection continues to expand as it gives another Vapormax Flyknit 2021 the overbranded look.
Compared to an already-revealed Vapormax 2021 within the “Logo Pack,” this pair opts for a lighter approach. Soft grey tints the knit uppers while rubber accents on the toe and heel maintain the minimalist look with a translucent white makeup. Profile Swooshes feature a pattern made of various Air Max logos and are outlined by neon green embroidery. Hints of neon are further applied to the lace loops and sockliner to brighten up the otherwise greyscale design. Sustainable Regrind rubber is applied under the iconic Vapormax sole for added eco-conscious traction. Nike’s efforts towards sustinability are echoed by the pinwheel Swoosh logo printed on the insole—the symbol representing the brand’s “Move to Zero” initiative.
