With the likes of the Nike Air Force 1 Shadow and the Air Force 1 Pixel, the AF1 has seen various deconstructed takes that add a touch of edginess to the classic silhouettes. The DIY aesthetic continues with the emergence of the Nike Air Force 1 Fontanka in “Archeo Pink”—an upcoming style that gets its boldness from the rebellious underground world of the St. Petersburg rave scene.

Inspired by ideas and art of post-Soviet Union Russia, the Fontanka sports a modern combination of suedes and leathers on its upper. Smooth leather dominates the toe and mid-panel, leaving the remainder of the base to exhibit a pebbled leather build. Unique stitching throughout creates segmented profile Swooshes that are messily composed of both leather and suede. The unruly look continues with multi-layered lacestays and the exaggerated heel tab. While the entirety of the base is tinted in a vibrant “Archeo Pink,” the rubber sole unit opts for a simple white finish. A “cassette tape” of ultra-soft React foam in the heel adds a final, playful touch to the design that also alludes to the aforementioned European music scene.

Enjoy official images of the Air Force 1 Fontanka below, which will hit Nike.com in the near future at a price of $110.
