The Nike Air Max 2021 Launches August 5th

The Nike Air Max 2021 Launches August 5th

In celebration of Nike Air Max Day this year, the Swoosh introduced the world to the Nike Air Max Pre-Day—a silhouette that combined modern cushioning with ’70s design cues. For its next Max Air proposition, the Nike Air Max 2021, the sportswear brand deviates from retro styles to deliver a rather futuristic look.

As seen on the GS pair that was revealed earlier, the debut blue pair sports a nylon-like upper that exhibits a subtlely gridded pattern. Meshes, dotted decals, and perforations continue the geometric theme across the model. While the lateral side sports a navy Swoosh decal, the medial side opts for matching blue branded overlays and mudguards that create a space-age appearance. Elements such as the padded collar and exaggerated lacestays are also a reflection of modern design trends in footwear. As for the sole unit, the pair sees a blue and white gradient overly stacked above an Air Max-cushioned midsole. The heel reveals a tall green Air unit that opts for a unique peapod shape to further amp up the futuristic factor of the upcoming offering.

Take a closer look at the Air Max 2021 below, which will hit the listed retailers on August 5th.
