Next week is huge, not just for sneakers but sport as whole. After a year-long wait, the Tokyo Olympics will finally be underway, kicking off with the support of sneaker brands and fans the world over.
But before we really get into the Summer Games, adidas is starting us off on a note of luxury. Alongside Prada, the brand is crafting two new colorways of the Luna Rossa 21, adding both “Core Black” and “Solid Grey” to the high fashion silhouette’s wardrobe. Then, CLOT is throwing it all the way back to 2006 as they reissue — with a few changes — the Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” Kanye wore during his appearance in Hong Kong. The Free Run Trail rounds out that Tuesday, adding yet another strong addition to the model’s comeback.
The energy only picks up into the mid-week as the LeBron 8 South Beach finally makes its awaited return. What’s more, FTC is coming out with their very own Nike SB Dunk Low, a bright white and blue celebration of skateboarding’s world stage debut. Three Dunk colorways continue the party on the following day, sporting “Purple Pulse,” “Yellow Strike,” and the “NY vs. NY” theme. Come Friday, expect Space Jam to make yet another cameo atop the LeBron 8, while Off-White and the Phillies apply their signatures to the Air Zoom Tempo NEXT and Question Low, respectively.
Closing us out is none other than the Air Jordan 12 Twist, officially signaling the start to Jordan Brand’s Fall 2021 collection. The Forum 84 ADV also drops the same morning, its design cosigned by skater Diego Nájera.
