The Nike Air Max 97 may have dozens of special projects in the works prepped for its 25th anniversary throughout 2022, but for now, it’s mostly preoccupied with non-original, but compelling styles.
For its latest proposition, Christian Tresser’s iconic design has indulged in a bevy of spring-appropriate pastels. While out of season, the full-length Air-cushioned design is always a great choice for those who want a future-forward design 24 years after it debuted. Vamp overlays and mudguards are entirely made of smooth leather, but are dipped in shades of green, yellow and pink. The aforementioned Air Max unit forgoes any vibrant tone in favor of a light cream hue that allows for the top-half of the sneaker to revel in the spotlight.
No Nike.com release date has been confirmed yet, but that’s likely to change as autumn rolls around. In meantime, enjoy images of the pair ahead.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the NBA Jam x Converse collection is set to drop on August 30th.
