Michael Le The New Balance XC-72 released only recently and yet there’s quite a bit of energy behind it. This is likely due in part to Casablanca, who have teased their forthcoming collaboration with the silhouette this past week. But before we see the two come together, there are a few GR colorways on the way, including this multi-color mix of warm and cool tones.
Blues of both light and slightly darker variety dress the upper throughout, coloring the mesh and suede toe, respectively. At the heel, an even brighter shade can be seen, though it’s largely covered by the blacked out counter. Elsewhere, more neutrals — here of white and cream disposition — outfit the “N” logos as well as the midsole and eyestay, while the fixtures elsewhere contrast more with more divergent hues. The tooling, for instance, alternates between black and brown, the two split thanks to a vibrant yellow that travels through the forefoot to the tongue.
