What do you get when you apply trail-inspired design cues and recycled materials to some Nike classics? The answer is the Swoosh’s Terrascape line—the next project to arise from the Nike “Move To Zero” campaign. Besides the Nike Air Max 90, the Air Max Plus is another silhouette that will be receiving the Terrascape treatment. While “Barely Volt” dominates a recently revealed Nike Air Max Terrascape Plus, the mint tone is instead used as a mere accent color to an upcoming colorway.
This new offering embraces a gridded black base that uses embroidery to mimic the wavy design lines found on the Air Max Plus’s toe and heel. As for the TPU fingers emblazoned across the sides of the original Air Max Plus, this style opts for a tactical approach by using translucent lace cages. The non-opaque appearance of these lace cages reveals “Barely Volt” Swoosh decals underneath. The green shade is also applied to the eyelets for an additional hint of color to the otherwise all-black style. An Air Max 95-reminiscent sole unit featuring Regrind rubber and other recycled materials completes the rugged design.
Take a closer look at the Air Max Terrascape Plus below, which will hit Nike.com in the near future.
