Nike Reminds The World That The Blazer Mid ’77 Has Stood The Test Of Time

Although names the likes of LeBron James have led to previously-unfathomable innovation, Nike Basketball began with one model: the Nike Blazer Mid ’77. And while the silhouette is no longer a go-to option for the hardwood, it’s stood the test of time.

Light grey hairy suede makes up the bulk of the pair’s upper, but a partly-cracked arrangement takes over the profile swooshes and heel underlay. Both components are animated by a contrasting pinkish tone that also appears on the tongue label and sock-liner, the latter featuring the mid-top Nike Blazer‘s name as well as the following message: “Standing the test of time.” Sole units keep things simple with a slightly-“aged” look, while lace dubraes proffer a metallic touch to the proposition.

An official Nike SNKRS release date hasn’t been disclosed, but this pair is likely to arrive soon. In any case, enjoy images of the shoes ahead.

For more swoosh-branded sneakers, check out the Travis Scott Air Max 1 “Wheat” expected to launch before 2021 ends.
