Billy’s Tokyo Enlists Illustrator Eguchi Hisashi For An Artwork-Dressed Vans Slip-On

Billy’s Tokyo is responsible for a great deal of Vans’ overseas exclusives. And with their latest proposition, the brand is enlisting the help of illustrator Eguchi Hisashi to add art to the humble Slip-On.

Structurally, the upper is straightforward: the white midsole removes the usual contrast foxing, while the collar proffers an identically neutral look. This only better serves Eguchi Hisashi whose artwork — which depicts a lady clad atop the comic industry’s signature Kerby Crackle — is painted along the entire forefoot. The box, then, reveals the design in full similar to the accompany t-shirts and tote bag.
