Although Patrick Mahomes finally got his first signature sneaker—the adidas Mahomes 1.0 IMPACT FLX—last month, the quarterback is only at the beginning of his foray into the sneaker territory. The Chiefs player is putting his championship-winning touch on the adidas ZX 2K Boost 2.0.

Mahomes opts for a bold, futuristic approach that starts with a white mesh base that sees faded black side stripes. As if the gradient details weren’t enough, the lacestays and overlay above the midsole utilize holographic, lenticular materials to add some dimension to the design. Even the midsole isn’t short of unique details by covering itself in a mix of hypnotic lines that speak to how quickly his style of play is warping the way the game is being played. Special Mahomes branding on the tongue label and insole rounds out this space-age design—another impressive offering by the partnership between the football player and the Three Stripes brand.
